Next steps after your job interview: accountancy and finance – Episode 5
It's really important to be proactive after an interview and make surethat they know that you are keen for the job, not to be over-egging itand pestering them to much, a simple two-line email to say, 'it was apleasure meeting with you, thank you for the opportunity and I lookforward to hearing from you' is enough.
The one thing I always do is take a few bullet points down at the end about how I think I did, what really usefulthings came up in the interview and whether they said anything interesting that I might be able to use in something else that I go on to do in my other interview processes.
It's not 100% guaranteed that you are going to walk into the interview get that job, there are hundreds and hundreds of people possibly going up for the samejob so making sure that your well prepared for the next one, you will wantto find out from them what it is that you can do to better yourself.
Whatever it is, feedback is always good.
Sometimes thereis nothing bad to say, perhaps just just weren't the right candidate, and that can give you a level of confidence aswell to say, you know what I did everything right it just wasn't my turn this time around.
